Hello to New York State Assembly District 11,
I’m Joe Cardinale, and I want to share with you, in my own words, why I’ve decided to run for public office. This decision wasn’t made lightly. It comes from a place of deep concern and an unwavering commitment to our community—a community I’ve had the honor to serve in various capacities over the years.
My journey has taken me from the streets of New York as a lieutenant commander with the NYPD to navigating the roads of our nation as the owner and operator of Blue Line Pilot Cars. Each role has offered me unique insights into the complexities of public service and the importance of community safety and well-being.
A Voice for the Voiceless
I’ve witnessed firsthand the consequences of having representation that doesn’t fully grasp or address our needs. Our district has been without a strong advocate in Albany, someone who’s willing to stand up for us on issues that matter most—public safety, community welfare, and our fundamental rights. The incumbent’s lack of action and support for policies that undermine our law enforcement have not gone unnoticed. I cannot, in good conscience, stand by as our community’s needs continue to be ignored.
A Champion for Our Community
Our district is at a critical juncture. We’re facing a myriad of challenges, from the devastating effects of the illegal immigration, the Fentanyl crisis to the rise in crime, social unrest, and a growing distrust in our government and elected officials. I am running because I believe we deserve better. We need leadership that puts our community first, prioritizes our safety, and works tirelessly to bridge the gap between law enforcement, community members, and elected officials.
I’m committed to securing the necessary resources to combat these issues head-on. My background in law enforcement has equipped me with the knowledge and experience to formulate effective strategies, particularly in the fight against drugs that are ravaging our communities.
Supporting the Backbone of Our Community
Moreover, I stand with our veterans, stay-at-home moms, and blue-collar workers. Each group forms the backbone of our community, contributing in invaluable ways. Yet, their needs and concerns are often overlooked. I pledge to be a voice for them, ensuring their interests are represented and addressed in Albany.
My Promise to You
My campaign is not just about winning an election. It’s about bringing about real change for the people of District 11. It’s about restoring faith in our elected officials and ensuring our community receives the attention and support it deserves.
I am appalled by the current state of affairs, particularly the overwhelming Fentanyl crisis that directly impacts our district. Utilizing my experience, I aim to tackle this issue head-on, along with other pressing concerns that affect our community.

This is a pivotal moment for us all. I’m stepping up to make a difference, but I need your support. Together, we can change the trajectory of our district and ensure a safer, more prosperous future for ourselves and future generations.
